They say the good die young, but apparently the truly great pass away a few weeks shy of their 86th birthday. To say Vince Sullivan was beloved by his family and friends is a cliche that is way too understated. Vince was funny, smart, and everyone who met him said he was the nicest man they ever met. A successful golf pro by trade, Vince loved the stock market, astronomy, and old movies. "Vince is a great teacher'' was the common refrain heard from those who were fortunate to have been one of his students. His family enjoyed his spontaneity and willingness to drive wherever there was a picturesque town with a burger and ice cream stand. Although the family and friends who loved him are too many to mention, his surviving immediate family members are his wife, Monica Sullivan (nee Grady); his daughters, Caroline Sullivan-Warner and Marina C. Sullivan, and their spouses, Mark Warner and Tim Rainey; his grandsons, Mark Vincent Warner, Alexander Sullivan Warner, Timothy Sullivan Rainey and Steven Sullivan Rainey; and his siblings Donald Sullivan and Irene Sullivan. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Catherine Florimont, and his adoring nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Margaret and William Sullivan, a sister: Virginia Walsh, and a brother: Lawrence Sullivan.
