Sylvia worked for Mergenthaler Linofilm, Corning Glass Works, Commonwealth Bank, and retired from the Department of Environmental Protection serving both the Williamsport and Mansfield Offices as a Clerk Typist II. Sylvia was an avid gardener, extraordinary cook, and baker. She was also an excellent canner of foods, notably her spaghetti sauce and pickles. She loved country music, especially Waylon Jennings. Sylvia was a beautiful lady who exuded the classiest of styles from her clothing to her choice of cars to drive. For those who knew her best, that class was coupled with the most important thing to her, a genuine love for her family. Anyone that knew her will always think of her as they walk by an Estee Lauder perfume counter in any store. You always knew when Sylv was in the room as her perfume gave her away before you would ever see her in the room.
