Scott E. Blackwell, 65, of Wellsboro, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Scott was born February 2, 1956, in Williamsport, the son of Joyce M. (Mitstifer) Blackwell of Wellsboro and the late Willis W. Blackwell. He married Karen L. (McFall) Blackwell of Wellsboro, on April 28, 1979 and has celebrated 42 years of marriage.
Scott was owner and operator of his own machine shop where he enjoyed spending most of his time and had a love for older cars. He was a member of the Wellsboro United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife and mother, Scott is survived by two daughters, Heather Waring of Meadville and Heidi (Scott) Pier of Horsehead, NY; a sister, Sally (Craig) Hoy of Williamstown, NJ; a brother, Jay (Carol) Blackwell of Wellsboro; four grandchildren; Paige, Colin, Lauren and Logan and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousin.
Family and friends will be received Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 11a.m.-12:30p.m at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., 139 Main St. Wellsboro. Scott’s funeral service follows at 12:30 p.m., with Pastor John Bondhus, officiating. Burial will be in Wellsboro Cemetery.
