Russell E. Redell, 82, of Wellsboro, died on Friday, April 30, 2021.
Russell was born January 17, 1939 in Antrim, the son of the late John T. and Marion (Ketchum) Redell. He married the former Sandra J. Learn on April 9. 1960 and they have celebrated 61 years of marriage.
Russell retired from Bordens Milk Plant in 2001, as a Shipping Manager, after 41 years of service.
Russell was a founding member of the Lucky 9 Hunting Camp and was a life member of the Arnot Sportsmen’s Club.
In addition to his wife, Sandra, Russell is survived by a daughter, Pam (Scot) Boyce of Wellsboro; sons, Russ Jr. (Carol) Redell of Wellsboro; Dave (Becky) Redell of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Scot Jr. (Holly) Boyce, Brad (Jenna) Boyce, Chad (Marena Geiser) Boyce, Zachery (Kay) Redell, Bianca (Patrick) Parsons, Matthew (Christina) Redell, Daniel Redell, Jordyn (Joshua) Payne, Madison York and Emerson York, 16 great grandchildren, a sister, Marion Patt, a brother, Ronald (Shirley) Redell , a sister-in-law, Nancy Redell all of Wellsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by sisters, Joan Redell and Arlyne Robinson and brothers, John and Gregory Redell.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 10-11a.m. at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., 139 Main St. Wellsboro. Russell’s funeral service follows at 11 a.m., with Pastor Patrick Parsons, officiating, COVID health guidelines will apply. Burial will be in Wellsboro Cemetery.
