Richard Andrew White, 88, of Wellsboro passed away Sunday November 7, 2021 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. He was born October 15, 1933 in Wellsboro to Kenneth Herbert and Naomi Louise (Huseman) White. He grew up in Wellsboro and graduated from the Wellsboro High School. He served in the US Army, and on September 21, 1956 he married Ruth Ann McConnell. Richard worked as a furnace operator for Corning Glass and attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church. He was a member of the VFW and the Wellsboro Moose, and had enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Richard is survived by three daughters: Debra Wilson (Samuel) of Wellsboro, Pamela Roe (Richard) of Wellsboro, and Susan Heist (Kerry) of Blandon; 6 grandchildren: Rob Kinat, Jason Kinat, Ryan Wilson, Aaron Wilson, Erika Mayes, and Jeremy Heist; and two great-grandchildren: Averly Kinat and Hailey Kinat. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a sister: Sarah Dexter, and his step-father: Marion "Shorty" Webster.
