Richard Gerald Keck, 89, of Wellsboro, died on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre.
Richard was born March 18, 1932, in Wellsboro, the son of the late Fred G. and Maude M. (Losinger) Keck. He married the former Lucille M. Mitchell on December 28, 1967 and have celebrated 53 years of marriage.
Richard retired from Corning Glass Works after 40 years of service as a millwright. He was a member of the Wellsboro Moose and enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, gardening, and camping trips with his family
In addition to his loving wife, Lucille Keck, Richard is survived by a daughter, Bette Ann (Douglas) Gombar of Perkasie; three sons, Raymond (Theresa) Keck of Perkasie, Father Michael Bryant of Scranton, Gerald (Virginia) Bryant of Vero Beach, FL; six grandchildren, Gregory, Megan, Will, Ryan, Eric, and Kelly; ten great grandchildren, Greg Metarko who was like a son, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Norman Keck, two sisters, Myrtle Shaw and Anna Cooper and a grandson, Evan Richard.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects Friday, March 26, 2021 from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main St., Wellsboro, with a private funeral service to follow with his son, Father Michael Bryant, officiating. A private burial will be in Wellsboro Cemetery. COVID 19 and department of health restrictions will be enforced, the family is asking everyone to wear their masks.
