Philip A. Spencer

Philip A. Spencer, 70, of Covington, passed away Saturday May 22, 2021 at his home. He was born January 14, 1951 in Sayre, PA to Philip F. and Nancy (Kaiser) Spencer. On December 23, 1978 he married Linda Morrow with whom he shared 42 years of marriage. Philip worked at the Ward Foundry, and later he was a truck driver. He served as the Union Steward while working at Ward, was an avid gardener, and was very interested in family history.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife: Linda Spencer of Covington; three sons: Charles Miller (Lori Payton) of Waverly, NY, Bruce Miller (Lori Frantz) of Covington, and Philip A. (Amber) Spencer, Jr. of Cape Coral, FL; a daughter: Sara Slaymaker (David) of Middlebury Center; 5 granddaughters: Celeste Kearns, Deidra Miller, Rebecca Dauphinais, Savanna Slaymaker, and Bristol Slaymaker; three grandsons: Joshua Miller, Austin Spencer, and Colton Spencer; 2 great-grandsons: Jayden and Kameron Thomas; two sisters: Marilyn Wiles (Cliff) of Mansfield, and Carolyn Ives (Rick) of Wellsboro; and two brothers: James Spencer of Covington, and David Spencer of Canton. Philip was preceded in death by his parents, a brother: Richard Spencer and a nephew: Jeremy Spencer.

Friends and family are invited to the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home 139 Main Street Wellsboro, PA from 11am to 12 noon on Friday May 28, 2021 with a memorial service to follow in the funeral home at noon.
