Paul P. Patt, 92, of Wellsboro, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019 at his home.
Born in Corning, NY on October 6, 1926, son of the late Joseph L. and Clara (Furmanek) Patt. On June 26, 1954 he married Marion Redell and they have celebrated 65 years of marriage together.
Paul was an Army veteran and retired from the Borden Milk Plant, Wellsboro, in 1989 after 37 years of service. Earlier in life he worked in the coal mines in the Antrim area. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Wellsboro, and the Knights of Columbus. Paul was a very skilled hunter and a farmer. He enjoyed camping and travelling with his wife, reading and listening to country music.
Paul is survived by his wife, Marion; sons, Douglas (Susan) Patt of Wellsboro; Russell Patt of Mansfield; Frank Patt of Wellsboro; Paul A. (Leah) Patt of Wellsboro; John Patt of Antrim; daughters, Diane (Scott) Young of Wellsboro; Mary Ellen Patt of Cumberland, MD; Josephine (Bill) Mitchell of Lititz; a brother, Martin (Naomi) Patt of Wellsboro; 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Beth Patt and 11 brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, October, 2, 2019, at 9:30 am at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 47 Central Avenue, Wellsboro, with Rev. David Bechtel officiating. Burial will follow in the Antrim Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Paul’s family would like donations in Paul’s memory be made to the Antrim Cemetery, c/o Marion Patt, 33 ½ Nichols Street, Wellsboro, PA 16901.
