Marian (Butler) Smith-Weimar

Marian Smith-Weimar, 99, of Wellsboro, passed away November 19, 2022 at Broad Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born at home in Shippen Township on March 18, 1923 to Milan and Helen (Ford) Butler. Marian graduated from Wellsboro High School, and worked as a Materials Inspector at Corning Glass Works in Wellsboro. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Wellsboro,  Order of the Eastern Star Mary Wells Chapter #452, the Wellsboro Chapter of DAR and 1812, the Gaines Elk Council of Republican Women, BPW, and New England Women.

Marian is survived by her husband: Charles E. Weimar of Wellsboro, two children: Marlin D. (Beverly) Smith Esq. of Asaph, Dr. Ardys Smith Boostrom of Asaph; four step-children: Karen (Terry) Niles of Carlisle, Randy C. (Laura) Weimar of New Milford, CT, Earl W. (Betsy) Weimar of Wellsboro, and Tammy L. (Phil) Marth of Boyertown; four grandchildren: Megan Converse of Asaph, Sarah Smith of Wellsboro, Robert Boostrom of Corpus Christi, TX, and Helen Boostrom of St. Louis, MO; nine step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands: Frederick Smith in 1990, and Frank Clark in 1997, and a step-daughter: Cindy Youngs.

Friends and family are invited to pay tribute to Marian's life at a graveside service Friday November 25, 2022 at 1:00pm in Ansonia Cemetery with pastor Kristi Webster officiating.
