Margaret English Livermore, 95, died Wednesday September 15, 2021 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro. Born October 20, 1925, she was the daughter of Doyle R. and Mollie (Ford) English. She married Sanford E. Livermore in 1968 and celebrated 28 years of marriage until his passing on August 17, 1996.
Margaret was graduated from Covington High School and went on to earn bachelor’s degree from Bob Jones and a master’s degree from Penn State Universities, both in English Literature. She was a professor for fourteen years at Bob Jones and then joined the faculty at Mansfield University. While in Mansfield she enjoyed sponsoring Campus Crusade and Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority.
She retired in 1970 to give time to family and home. During retirement she volunteered with Child Evangelism Fellowship and held office in Cherry Flats Baptist Church where she was a lifelong member.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Amy Livermore (Louis “Chuck” Errico); a step-son: Steven Livermore (Elaine); and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a step-son: Royden Livermore; her two brothers and their wives: Paul and Alma English and Leonard and Blanche English.
