Lyle Roger Wagner, 90, of Holiday, passed away peacefully at home. He was born June 28, 1931 in Holiday to George and Florence (Hotchkiss) Wagner. Lyle grew up on the family farm and graduated from Wellsboro High School. On May 18, 1952 he married Ardyth Churchill with whom he shared nearly 70 years of marriage. He worked as a machinist for Dresser Rand. Lyle was a gifted carpenter, woodworker and craftsman, he built 3 homes for his family, he could fix anything and never gave up. He built much of his and his family's furniture. He was also an avid bird watcher. Lyle was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and a very strong Christian man who instilled the importance of faith in his family and community.
Lyle is survived by his wife: Ardyth Wagner of Holiday; two daughters: Geneva (the late Tom) Szafran of Bradford, and Laurel (Todd) Homet of Waynesburg; two grandsons: Kyle and Cole Homet of Waynesburg; and two step-granddaughters: Kathryn (Brock) Rice of LasVegas, NV, and Suzanne (Brad) Walker of State College. Lyle was the last surviving of 9 children.
Friends and family are invited to pay tribute to Lyle's life from 12:00 noon to 1:00pm Monday May 9, 2022 at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home 139 Main Street Wellsboro, his funeral to follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home with Rev.
