Lois M. Bogie

On Wednesday, July 8, 2021, Lois Mae (Herr) Bogie passed away at the age of 93. Lois was born on October 31, 1927 in Milton, PA to Nevin and Kathryn (Barto) Herr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bogie, her parents and her son, Allen Eschbach.  Lois is survived by her son, Scott (Jeanne) Eschbach of Elmira, NY; her grandchildren, Daniel (Jennifer) Eschbach and Laurel Eschbach and great grandchildren, Bryce, Tanner, Sophia, Caleigh, and Mason.   Lois is also survived by her brother, Roland Herr of Milton, PA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, including special niece, Linda (Richard) Kaplan of Rehobeth Beach, DE.

Lois was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters-in-law: Nevin (Ben) Herr, Virginia Herr and James (Clarabelle) Herr.  

Lois was a retail sales manager most of her working career, working at Lits and Pomeroy’s Department Stores.  Although not native to Wellsboro, Lois and Don made Wellsboro their retirement home.  They loved their adopted community where Don was active in the Wellsboro Community Band and the Spare Parts Jazz Band and Lois volunteered with the annual Presbyterian Church rummage sales, where she was able to put her retail experience to good use.

Funeral Services will be held at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main Street, Wellsboro, PA at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 14, 2021.
