Karen Deming Obituary

Karen A. Deming, 78, of Blossburg, Pa, entered into Glory on November 16, 2021. Karen was born on December 14, 1942 in Blossburg, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Eleanor (Isban) Lindquist and a son-in-law Gary L. Cleveland.
Karen spent her childhood on her grandparent's farm in Morris Run and spent every summer there. She had a deep love for her grandparents as they raised her while her Dad was in the war and her mother was working in Elmira, NY. Her best and most cherished childhood memories were of her life on the farm.
After graduation from North Penn High School, she attended beauty school and worked as a beautician for 20 years. She and her "Beauty School Bestie" Patty Chaborek opened up a shop in Blossburg. The Powder Puff. Karen went to work at J. P. Ward Foundries in 1978 and retired after 30 years of dedicated service where she also proudly held the title of the Local Union Secretary for many years.
Karen married Andrew Deming in December of 1963 and together have 3 children. She worked full time while raising her kids and made a wonderful home for them. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, mimi, aunt, wife and friend. She always hosted Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve dinner with an open door for all of her family and 'foundry chums' that may have found themselves with no where to go. She never met a stranger. So many great memories with family and friends were made because of her.
Karen was a Christian and was member of the Catholic Church and raised her children in the faith and salvation of Jesus Christ. She gave sacrificially and loved helping others whenever the opportunity presented. Her hobbies were cooking, baking, bike riding, walking, going on picnics, fishing, reading and of course spending time and helping to raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Left to honor and cherish her memory are her three children, Brett (Lori Lloyd) Deming, Lee Anne Deming and Kelly (David) Dewberry; a sister Susan Mozingo; the father of her children Andrew Deming; six nephews Randy Mozingo, John Deming, Adam Deming, Mike Deming, the late Dan Strange & Jesse Deming; two nieces, Deb Cattelier & Michele Rhine; seven grandchildren Ellen Saber, Brandon Deming, Nicholas Deming, Stevie Gregory, Lindsey Deming, Grayson Dewberry & Ely Warriner; nine great grandchildren Jason, Lucas, Gavin, Brodie, Kaleb, Gabrielle, Owen, Hope and Mason; an Aunt, Janice Lindquist and many cousins.
Services will be held on Sunday November 21, at Marsh Creek Fellowship Baptist Church from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., funeral service to be held immediately following with Pastor Steven Neff officiating. Interment will be at the Arbon Cemetery, Blossburg, Pa. Arrangements by Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, to share a memory or condolence visit www.tusseymosher.com.
