Everitt C. Vanderhoof, 100, of Wellsboro, passed away May 3, 2021 at The Green Home in Wellsboro. He was born May 7, 1920 in Wellsboro to Clyde and Hazel R. (West) Vanderhoof, and graduated from Wellsboro, HS. On June 5, 1943, he married Vera E. Root, with whom he shared 68 years of marriage, and raised two children. Everitt was a farmer who truly enjoyed all things farming, it was his vocation, his hobby and his calling. He attended the First Baptist Church of Wellsboro and the Welsh Settlement United Methodist Church.
Everitt is survived by a son: Mahlon (Carole) Vanderhoof of Chester, NY; a daughter: Verla (George) Bryant of Wellsboro; 5 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one brother: Oliver Vanderhoof.
Friends and family are invited to pay tribute to Everitt's life on Saturday May 8, 2021 from 11am-1pm at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home 139 Main Street Wellsboro, PA with a funeral to follow in the funeral home.
