Eldon Leroy Erway, 73, of Wellsboro, passed away Tuesday August 31 at Soldiers and Sailors. He was born July 3, 1948 in Little Marsh to Francis and Agnes (McNett) Erway. He graduated from Cowanesque High School in the class of 1966, and worked at Osram Sylvania. Eldon was an avid bowler, enjoyed the outdoors - in his younger years hunting and riding motorcycles, and had a genuine passion for his grandchildren.
Eldon is survived by two daughters: Sherry Smith (Steve) of Westfield and Wendy Erway of Lewes, DE; 4 grandchildren: Jakob Erway, Trey Smith, Sierra Smith-Slawson (Ryan), and Jewel Smith; a brother: Homer Erway (Nancy) of Little Marsh; nephew: Philip Erway; niece Christiana Shenk (Mike); and his former wife: Mary Erway of Wellsboro.
Friends and family are invited to pay tribute to Eldon’s life from 1-2pm Friday September 3, 2021 at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home 139 Main Street Wellsboro, PA. A funeral will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Knoxville Cemetery.
