Duane Erickson Obituary

Duane Keith Erickson, 63, of Wellsboro, passed away in his home surrounded by family following an extended battle against cancer. He was born 7/7/57 to George Lynn and Marjorie Waneta (Treat) Erickson in Wellsboro. He graduated from Wellsboro High School in 1975, and with his brothers operated Erickson Family Farm outside of Stony Fork. Duane had a deep love of farming, and was devoted to his cows. He enjoyed gardening and caring for his fruit trees, he had a green thumb and took care of his mother's flowers as well. He loved driving his Gator, baling hay and running the silage maker on his farm, and especially enjoyed his niece and nephew and spending time with them and their children.

Duane is survived by his two brothers: Kevin Erickson (Jacqueline) of Wellsboro and Rodney Erickson (Carol) of Wellsboro; a sister: Janice Erickson of Wellsboro; a niece: Kristy Erickson of Wellsboro; a nephew: Brian Erickson (Denise) of Eldersburg, MD; and 2 great-nieces and 4 great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
