Clarence Greenwalt Obituary

Clarence Lee (C. Lee) Greenwalt, 91, formerly of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully in his sleep early on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Bradford County Manor.

He was born on May 5, 1929, in Lawrenceville, the son of the late Clarence and Edith (Inscho) Greenwalt.  In January 2017, his loving wife of 67 years, Bertha Mae (Steele) Greenwalt, passed away.  In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law Florence and Edward Wilkins, his brother-in-law James Steele, and his two beloved sons Kenneth Greenwalt in 2006 and Kevin Greenwalt in 2004.

Lee is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Don Kriner of Lawrenceville, Karen and Scott Keck of Wellsboro; daughters-in-law, Glenda Greenwalt Farrell and Jackie Greenwalt Erickson; a sister-in-law, Tuy Steele of Arizona; eight grandchildren, Shawn, Steven, Sabrina, Seth, Sterling, Alyssa, Courtney, McKenna; seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a nephew and several nieces.

Lee was a retired dairy farmer.  He was born and raised on the farm that he operated for most of his life.  He was a member of the Eastern Milk Producers for over 50 years.  During that time, he served nine years on the board of directors.

Lee was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He loved to hunt and was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.  He had many interests over the years and traveling with his wife and friends was at the top of the list.  His snappy blue eyes and friendly smile will always be fondly remembered.

Funeral services will be held at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main St., Wellsboro, for the immediate family due to the current restrictions.  As an expression of sympathy, the family suggests memorial donations be made to a charity of one’s choice.  Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Tioga.  To share a memory or condolence visit www.tusseymosher.com.
