Charlotte L. Clark

Charlotte L. Clark, 95, of Wellsboro, died on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Broad Acres Nursing Home. Wellsboro.

Charlotte was born May 28, 1926, in Stony Fork, the daughter of the late Ira and Blanche (Houghton) Root.  She was the wife of the late Milton R. Clark who preceded her in death on October 12, 1978.

Charlotte was a graduate of Wellsboro High School, Class of 1943 and worked many years for the Baumann’s Dairy, Niles Valley.  She also worked for Tioga Candy Company, Covington and at one time the Covington Township Tax Collector.   She was a member of the Wellsboro Moose Auxiliary, enjoyed reading, and was an avid domino player.

Charlotte is survived by a son, Milton L. (Mary Ann) Clark of Punta Gorda, FL; grandchildren, Richard Clark of Columbia, SC; Jennifer Tallevast of Murrells Inlet, SC; Christopher (Mary) Clark of Windermere, FL; great grandchildren, Mills, Avent, Christopher and Caitlin Clark, and Elliott Tallevast, nieces, Noreen Root Baker and Sandra Long, and a nephew, Kenneth Root. 

In addition to her husband and parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Baumann, and a brother, Lyle Root.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main St., Wellsboro, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm.  Burial will be in Niles Valley Cemetery.

Family suggests memorial contributions in Charlotte’s name to be made to UPMC Hospice Wellsboro, 32 Central Ave., Wellsboro, PA 16901.
