Beverly A. Williams, 86, of Wellsboro, passed away Friday December 18, 2020 at Valley View Nursing Center in Montoursville, PA. She was born November 24, 1934 to Frank and Marian (Irwin) Williams in Antrim, PA. Beverly worked for better than 30 years teaching in Watkins Glen and Painted Post NY. An avid golfer, Beverly not only was a member of the Indian Hills Golf Club, but she served on its board of directors as well. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and driving her Ford tractor which she had restored. Beverly loved travelling and did so extensively, spending time in Europe and Hawaii and especially enjoyed Ireland. Family oriented, when Beverly retired from teaching, she moved back to her family home in Wellsboro, and attended St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
She is survived by a brother: Frank L. Williams of New Jersey, a sister: Kathleen Gruzlewski (Craig) of Wellsboro, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother: Eugene Williams and a sister: Pamela Chandler.
Due to the social concerns surrounding Covid-19, there will be no public services at this time. Her arrangements have been entrusted to the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home 139 Main Street Wellsboro, PA, and her family will celebrate her life with a memorial service when groups and travel are less restricted.
