Anna M. Rose

Anna M. Rose, 87, of Wellsboro passed away Saturday February 26, 2022 at the Green Home, Wellsboro.  She was born March 4, 1934 in Wellsboro, the daughter of the late Ferrand and Kathryn (Dean) Lewis.   

Anna was a graduate of Charleston High School and at one time worked for Wundies, Wellsboro and for the Radisson, Corning.  She also enjoyed ceramics, cooking and baking, especially her sour cream cookies. 

Surviving are daughters, Cheryl A. (Jim) Wilbur of Millerton; Carole (Dick) Frank 0f Turbotville; a son, Dale (Gerri) Rose of McKinney, TX; a brother, Dean Lewis of Tioga; sisters, Norma Heck of Tioga; Phyliss Hilfiger of Gillett; grandchildren; Jordan (Andrea) LaFavor, Jared Frank, Jessica Frank, Andrea Frank, Rachel (Brandon) Hacker, Caitlin Rose, and Adam Rose, a grandson-in-law, Ken Sausser, 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ciara Sausser, a brother, Ralph Lewis, and sisters, Hazel Atkinson, Hilda Patterson, Shirley Rose, and Jane Hilfiger. 

A memorial service will be held for Anna as well as for her sisters, Hazel, Jane and Hilda, on Sunday March 20, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Tioga American Legion, 18536 PA-287, Tioga, PA 16946.  Family suggests memorial contributions in Anna’s name be made to the Northern Tioga County Centennial Lion’s Club, 118 Trowbridge Station Rd., Millerton, PA 16936.
