Andrew C. Van Gorden, 70, of Covington, passed away Friday June 18 in his home surrounded by family. He was born December 10, 1950 in Corning, NY to Richard and Vivian (Woodard) Van Gorden. On August 28, 1982, he married Connie Kroll with whom he shared nearly 27 years of marriage. Andrew worked at Dresser-Rand, and enjoyed fishing, Legos, and working out in his garage, especially with wood.
Andrew is survived by 6 children: Michael Van Gorden of Covington, Richard Van Gorden of Fort Ann, Heather Wallace (Shawn) of Washington, D.C., Andrea Glick (Randal) of Lancaster, PA, Sommer Gee (James) of Derwood, MD, and Kristine Nichols (Mike) of Blossburg; 16 grandchildren: Gavin, Cody and Emily Van Gorden; Corinna Christianson, Brianna Van Gorden; John, Anna, Andrew, and RJ Wallace; Bennon, Libby, and Ian Glick; Kai, Dylan, and Maya Gee; and Lincoln Nichols; 2 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Ronnie Guthrie and Tommy and Eddie Van Gorden; 5 sisters: Toma Putman, Cathy Branton, Dawn Van Gorden, and Jolene Clayborn. He was preceded in death by his wife: Connie Van Gorden, both parents, two sisters: Nadine and Brenda.
Andrew's family has entrusted the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home 139 Main Street Wellsboro, PA with his arrangements, and they will hold a private memorial service at their convenience.
