Warren William “Bill” Johnson, 81, of Wellsboro, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2025, at UPMC Wellsboro. He was born May 18, 1944, in Wellsboro, the son of the late Albert and Leota (Shafer) Johnson.
Warren graduated from Wellsboro High School and attended Mansfield State College. He owned and operated his own dairy farm and at one time a potato farm. Warren also worked at the Leonard Harris State Park for 18 years. Warren was an active member of the Middle Ridge United Methodist Church, Wellsboro
Warren is survived by nieces and nephews: Hilda Campbell of Gaines; Alan (Barb) Johnson of Mansfield; Brenda (Mark) Urner of Muncy Valley; Robert Johnson of Endwell, NY; Kathleen (Thomas) Shull of Horsehead, NY; Mary Ann (Clifford) Bienko of Colora, MD, and David Johnson of Wellsboro; and a sister-in-law, Jeanette Johnson of Wellsboro. In addition to his parents, Warren was preceded in death by brothers, Norman and Robert Johnson.
Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects, Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 12-1:00 pm at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home 139 Main St. Wellsboro, a funeral service will follow at 1pm. Burial will be in Brookland Cemetery, Potter County. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions in Warren’s name be made to the Middle Ridge United Methodist Church, 9 Copp Hollow Rd., Wellsboro, PA 16901.
