Timothy W. (Timothy W. Webster) Webster

Timothy W. Webster, 71, of Wellsboro, passed away Friday December 16, 2022 at UPMC Williamsport. He was born May 30, 1951 in Wellsboro, delivered by his grandfather Dr. Jess Webster, to Jerome "Jerry" and Mary (Wiley) Webster. He graduated from high school, and while attending college was needed at home to work the farm. On June 1, 1974, he married Karen Smithgall, with whom he raised four children and enjoyed 48 years of marriage. Tim was very active in the Tioga County Fair and the Fairgrounds at Whitneyville, and he enjoyed hunting. He was an excellent horseback rider, and had been active in Young Farmers of America. But his deepest loves were what he built his life around, his family and his farm. Tim is survived by his wife: Karen Webster of Wellsboro; two sons: Todd Webster (Jessica) of Wellsboro, and Garrett Webster of Wellsboro; two daughters: Lauren Sargent (Micah) of Wellsboro, and Traci Wood (Cris) of Wellsboro; eight grandchildren: Taitt, Lilly, Evelynn, Wiley, Clint, Sloan, Ava, and Sydney; two sisters: Cathy Janeski (Tom) of Wellsboro, and Linda Hoge (Jim) of Erie; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister: Janet Lawton. Friends and family are invited to pay tribute to Tim's life from 11am-1pm Saturday January 14, 2023 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church Pearl Street in Wellsboro, a memorial service will follow at 1:00pm in the church.
