Timothy D. Kreger, 63, of Morris passed away, suddenly, at UPMC Soldiers and Sailors, Saturday October 1, 2022. He was born January 18, 1959 to Dean and Baiba (Kalnins) Kreger. He graduated from Liberty High School in the class of "1976", and joined the Marine Corps. While serving his country, he was stationed in Korea and Japan. On December 24, 1987 he married Ichiko Nakamura, and together they shared 34 years of marriage. Timothy served his community by being active in the Morris Township Fire and Ambulance, serving as Assistant Chief, and coaching soccer for local youth leagues. He sold Hardy Heaters outdoor wood boilers, and was active in helping his customers maintain their stoves. Tim was described as a "serial hobbiest", and enjoyed many pursuits, from hunting and dirt bikes to video games and model trains, he raised chickens and made apple cider, he liked photography, woodworking, and drones and loved his model trains. He worked for Kreger Excavating, and really had fun running equipment, be it farm or excavating. And he loved his family, wife, sons, parents, and siblings were a big part of his life. Timothy is survived by his wife: Ichiko Kreger of Morris; three sons: Ryan Kreger of Harrisburg, Daniel Kreger of State College, and Eric Kreger of Morris; his father: Dean Kreger (Sue) of Morris, and his mother: Baiba Kreger of Liberty; his step-mother: Kathy Kreger of Morris; two brothers: James Kreger (Nancy) of Morris, and Kellen Kreger (Kierstin) of Morris; two sisters: Melanie Herb (Leon) of Morris and Tiffany Kreger of Morris, and his in-laws: Norimasa and Ikuko Nakamura of Atsugi, Japan; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister: Sandy Kreger. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Tim's life from 1-3pm Sunday October 9, 2022 at Morris Fire Company's Social Hall Gymnasium (which Tim helped build). A memorial service will follow, in the gym, with Rev. David Shultz officiating. His family has entrusted the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home 139 Main Street Wellsboro, PA with his arrangements.
