Thomas Leon Buck

Thomas Leon Buck, 62, of Wellsboro passed away suddenly Friday morning, August 5, 2016, at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital.

He was born December 17, 1953, in Wellsboro; a son of Kenneth N. “Bucky” and Diana G. (Wilkinson) Buck.  Thomas was married August 27, 1981 to the former Lucia Wilcox, who survives.

Thomas was a pipefitter for Osram, for over 29 years retiring just a month ago.  Early in his life he was employed by Cornell’s Agway; in addition he farmed.

Thomas was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose of Wellsboro and the Sinnemahoning Sportsmen’s Club.  He enjoyed NASCAR and truly loved his days in the demolition derby.

In addition to his wife, Lucia and his mother, Diana, he is survived by two brothers, Michael Buck (Lauri) of Wellsboro and Gregory S. Day of Mainesburg; his sister, Melinda “Mindy” Saunders (Scott) of Wellsboro; nephews, Christopher Buck and Matt Day and his niece, Alissa Buck; and there are ten nieces and nephews and eighteen grand nieces and  grand nephews on Lucia's side. Special friends, Herv Benson, Woody and Mary Wood; mother–in-law, Lucia Wilcox; brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy and Lori Pier, Wellsboro, Rick and Pam Wilcox, Belfast, NY, John and Tammy Wilcox, Fillmore, NY, Sue and Rich Polochock, Rochester, NY , Mark Wilcox and Lori, his fiancée, Fillmore, NY and Cheryl and Stewart Fuller, Angelica, NY.  He was preceded in death by his father, Bucky and his father-in-law, Charles Wilcox.
