April 28, 1942 — November 9, 2021

Sylvia A. (Starks) Kimble, age 79, of Morris, PA passed away on November 9th,2021, at UPMC Williamsport.  She was born on April 28th , 1942 in Blossburg, PA to the late Merle and Freda (Goodwin) Starks.  She was the wife of Max E. Kimble whom she married on July 3rd, 1989 in Nashville, Tennessee.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ralph Starks. Surviving besides her husband are two sons: Craig Fassett of Morris, and Todd (Penny) Fassett of Rush Springs, OK; one step son, Max (Claire) Kimble, Jr. of Clackamas, OR, and three step daughters: Lynda (Dave) Livingston of Williamsport, PA, Shiela Kimble Haas of La Livinière, France, and Lisa (Jim) Bennett of Montoursville, PA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol (Herb) Wismer and Cynthia (Leo) Rice, both of Wellsboro, PA; three grandchildren:  Justin Fassett, Cody (Kristen) Fassett, and Shayna Fassett; two great-grandchildren, Mason and Rylee Fassett.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Sylvia graduated from Wellsboro High School, Class of 1960.  Sylvia worked for Mergenthaler Linofilm, Corning Glass Works, Commonwealth Bank, and retired from the Department of Environmental Protection serving both the Williamsport and Mansfield Offices as a Clerk Typist II.  Sylvia was an avid gardener, extraordinary cook, and baker.  She was also an excellent canner of foods, notably her spaghetti sauce and pickles.  She loved country music, especially Waylon Jennings. Sylvia was a beautiful lady who exuded the classiest of styles from her clothing to her choice of cars to drive.  For those who knew her best, that class was coupled with the most important thing to her, a genuine love for her family.  Anyone that knew her will always think of her as they walk by an Estee Lauder perfume counter in any store.  You always knew when Sylv was in the room as her perfume gave her away before you would ever see her in the room.

In keeping with Sylvia’s wishes, there will be no service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The American Heart Association,  American Diabetes Association, or the American Kidney Association.  To share a memory or condolence with Sylvia’s family visit www.tusseymosher.com.
