Susan Marie Bencus

Susan Marie (Cole) Bencus, 68. Of Wellsboro, passed away Thursday August 6, 2026, in her home surrounded by family. She was born September 19, 1957, in Corning, NY, to Duane and Barbara (Teed) Cole. She graduated from high school, and on June 3, 1978, she married Stanley "Sandy" Bencus. Together they owned and operated the Pettecoat Junction Campground. Susan enjoyed crafting, gardening, flowers, and bird watching, but was especially fond of spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by a son: Jeremy (Tanya) Bencus of Wellsboro; two grandchildren: Jacob Bencus, and Tucker Bencus; and a sister: Lori (Timothy) Klaiber. Susan was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
