Stanley David Bencus

Stanley D. "Sandy" Bencus, 70, of Middlebury Center passed away peacefully in his home early Tuesday May 10, 2022. He was born February 19, 1952 to Stanley Andrew and Cynthia Mary (LaMay) Bencus in Rochester, NY. On June 3, 1978 he married Susan Cole, with whom he shared nearly 44 years of marriage. Sandy and Susan owned and operated Pettecote Junction Campground in Cedar Run. He was an avid camper and enjoyed running his campground, but he loved riding his motorcycle. Sandy and Susan rode it across the country and all over the world. Sandy is survived by his wife: Susan Bencus of Middlebury Center, a son: Jeremy Bencus (Tanya) of Stony Fork, two grandsons: Jacob and Tucker Bencus of Stony Fork, and a sister: Patricia Wilson (Tim) of Hilton, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents. Sandy's arrangements have been entrusted to the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home 139 Main Street Wellsboro, PA.
