Sophia A. Campbell

Sophia A. Campbell, 12, of Wellsboro, died in a tragic accident on Tuesday, April 12, 2016.  She was born in Wellsboro, March 2, 2004, the daughter of Jason Campbell and April Mase.  Sophia was a 6th grade student at Rock L. Butler Middle School.

Sophia enjoyed playing basketball.  She was full of energy and loved life.  Sophia was a member of the Girl Scouts.  She especially enjoyed dancing, styling her hair and putting on make-up.

Sophia loved her animals, Jasper, her dog;  Jaxx, her cat and S’mores, her rabbit.

In addition to her mom and dad, Sophia is survived by two sisters, Courtney Mase (Zach Heck) of Middlebury Center and Sasha Bement of Lawrenceville; her brother, John Campbell of Wellsboro; maternal grandmother, Ruthie Mase, Wellsboro; maternal great-grandmother, Joyce Reed, Wellsboro; extended family, Dylan Platon, Watkins Glen, NY and Arielle  Platon, Florida; niece, Kyerra Heck and nephew, Treyson Heck, both of Middlebury Center.

She had a large supportive family with many aunts and uncles.  Sophia had seven cousins, Max Campbell, Breyann Campbell, both of Wellsboro; Bradyn Fenstermacher and Parker  Fenstermacher, of Sabinsville; Kaiden Jones, Damin Covey, and Katiana Mase, all of Blossburg.

Friends and family are invited to Sophia’s Life Celebration on Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, LTD., 139 Main St., Wellsboro, PA and from 12-1:30 PM on Monday, April 18, 2016. Funeral service to follow, on Monday at 1:30 PM at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd. with Pastor Kristi Webster officiating.  Burial will be in Wellsboro Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in Sophia’s memory to  the Animal Care Sanctuary, 11765 Route 6, Wellsboro, PA 16901.
