Scott Philip Waclawik, 28, formerly of Wellsboro, died on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at home. He was the husband of Jamie (Sloan)Waclawik, who survives. Scott was born, December 28, 1986 in Wellsboro, the son of Dr. Ronald and Celeste (Dalbey) Waclawik.
He was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force, stationed at McGuire AFB in NJ. Scott was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church of Wellsboro.
Scott was an enthusiastic glider pilot. In the martial arts he held a black belt in karate. Scott also was an “aspiring Rubik’s Cube competitor”, a hobby he truly enjoyed.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are his sisters, Stephanie Waclawik, Du Bois and Angela Waclawik, Wellsboro; father-in-law, Douglas Sloan (Stacey) and mother-in-law, Yasmine Fuleihan(Gene); brother-in-law, Douglass Sloan, Bangor, PA; sister-in-law, Sarah Sloan, Wellsboro.
Friends and family are invited to Scott’s Life Celebration on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main St., Wellsboro, PA. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Peter’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 9:30 AM, with Rev. David Bechtel officiating. Interment in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery.
