Sara Ann Morral, 35, of Wellsboro died on Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA.  She was the wife of Jamie G. Morral who survives.  Sara was born May 5, 1980 in Montclair, CA the daughter of Robert E. Greene of Lehighton and Dawn Marie (Burkhart) Blankenhorn of Deer Lake.

One could describe Sara best by telling a few short stories of her recent past.  Through her love of music and her connections to bands from her work, she found herself in the crowd at a concert in Las Vegas, where one of her client bands was playing. Next to her in the crowd was a woman about Sara’s age with her daughter, 7 or 8 years old on her shoulders.  The girl was really enjoying the show and was so enthusiastic.  Sara talked to her and her mother between sets and was so impressed with the girls’ knowledge of bands and music that before they parted Sara asked the mother for her address.  Over the next few weeks Sara called up her friends in bands and the music industry and collected a number of things like guitar picks, concert posters, photos and signed albums.  In the mail they went, to this young girl, a stranger, who lived far away.

A recent passion of Sara’s has been doing hair and makeup for local women.  She loved doing it.  She wanted to help local women feel better about their bodies and themselves.  Sara, like many women had difficulty feeling good about her own body in her past but through hard work and determination, she was able to turn herself around and change.  She wanted to help other women in similar circumstances to “embrace their own beauty and love themselves”. She believed that girls compete with each other and women empower one another so she loved making other women feel beautiful and feel good about themselves.  Strangers, friends, acquaintances, it did not matter.  She loved to make people feel good.

Sara received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social work from Mansfield University.

Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are her grandmother, Kay Hanson of Pine Grove; father-in-law, Gerald Morral and mother-in-law, Sandra Clemens, both of Wellsboro; brothers, Hunter Blankenhorn, Deer Lake, Robert Greene, Pine Grove; sister, Stacy Vanage, Lehighton; her 3 “fur babies, Dookie, Skully and Diesel.
