Ronald R. Redell

Ronald R. Redell, 83, of Wellsboro, passed away Monday October 14, 2024 in Savage, Maryland.  He was born March 5, 1941, in Blossburg to the late John T. and Marion O. (Ketchum) Redell.  He graduated from Wellsboro High School, and on February 20, 1965, married Shirley Evelyn Learn with whom he shared 58 years of marriage before her death in 2023.  Ronald is a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked at Corning/Osram for more than 40 years before his retirement.  He attended Charleston Baptist Church, and he enjoyed studying his Bible. He also enjoyed putting together puzzles, watching NASCAR, the Mets and Penn State football.

Ronald is survived by a son:  Ronald Redell, Jr. (Lisa) of North Macedonia; two daughters:  Jennifer Phillips (Craig) of Savage, MD, and Brenda Kelly (Patrick) of Chester Springs, PA; 8 grandchildren; a sister: Marion Patt of Wellsboro; two sisters-in-law:  Sandy Redell of Wellsboro, and Nancy Redell of Wellsboro; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Redell, sisters Joan Redell and Arlyne Robinson and brothers John, Russell and Gregory Redell.
