Roberta M. Young

Roberta M. Young, 69, of Wellsboro, passed away, Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at her home. She was born on January 31, 1957, in Philadelphia, the daughter of late Robert J. and Doris Rose (Hillesheim) Drobile. She was the wife of the late Michael Young.

Roberta was a storekeeper for Verizon and had been with the company since it was Bell Atlantic. She also worked for Heritage Farms, Wellsboro. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, Wellsboro. She enjoyed camping and loved her dogs: Simone and Max.

Roberta is survived by a son, Robert J. (Ilhaam Hassan Amey) Brockerman of Wellsboro; grandchildren: Serenity Mae and Amber Lynn Brockerman of Wellsboro; a sister, Sue (Ken) Stephen of Wellsboro; nephews: John (Heidi) Stephen and Joe Stephen; great nephews: Xander, Gavin, and Bryson Stephen, and a great niece, Carmen Stephen. In addition to her parents and husband, Roberta was preceded in death by her stepmother, Dolores Drobile.
