Robert Johnson

Robert "Rob" Walter Johnson, 53, of Orwigsburg, PA, passed away on June 16, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center. He was born August 24, 1972, in Elmira, NY, to Max Johnson and the late Eva Jo Merrick Dochstader. Robert was the owner/operator of a Pro Fleet Care franchise and R and R Contracting, serving customers in the Orwigsburg, PA, area.

Rob was an avid fisherman, winning a number of local, regional, PA, NY, and NC bass fishing competitions over his lifetime. Hunting was another of Rob's passions. Robert's ultimate gift to others has been as an organ donor.

Robert is survived by his father: Max Johnson of Wellsboro; brother: Thomas Johnson (Tari) of Ashboro, NC; sisters: Danielle Castiglia (Chris) of Sanborn, NY, Maxine Blanck (Brian) of Green Lane, PA, Krissy Light (Zach) of Lebanon, PA, Kala Coulter (Sam) and Makanna Johnson (Dante Butts) of State College, PA; long-time-partner: Susan Eckert and her son Greg Eckert and his family; two nephews and six nephews.

Rob is preceded in death by his mother: Eva Jo Dochstader and stepfather: Marty Dochstader, and a special dog: Nixon.

A private celebration of Rob's life will be held Saturday July 4, 2026, at Hills Creek State Park in Wellsboro. A public memorial service will be held Saturday August 22, 2026, in the Orwigsburg area. Local arrangements have been entrusted to the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home 139 Main Street Wellsboro, PA 16901.
