Robert E. Drexel, 77, of Middlebury Center, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the Green Home in Wellsboro.  He was the husband of Dawn E. Bright, whom he married on January 22. 1972.  Robert was born June 24, 1939 in Wernersville, PA the son of the late Edward and Florence (Reber) Drexel.

In his lifetime he worked for the Reading Housing Authority and W.R. Strunk Co.; as a warehouse manager.

Robert was a member of Cedar Run Baptist Church.  He was past President of Brown Twp. Fire Co.  Robert was an outdoorsman; he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and swimming.  In addition, he was caretaker of several cottages located in Slate Run.

Surviving are his wife, Dawn; son, Robert C. Drexel (Patti), Robesonia; daughter, Risa Trautman (Ralph), Myerstown and his son, Steve Drexel (Karen), Williamsport; step-children, Lori Ann Ludwig (Charles), Myerstown and Edward F. Haas (Cina) of South Carolina; thirteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Lee Drexel (Carol), Wernersville; a niece and a nephew.  In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack and Richard Drexel.

Life Celebration will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 10:30-11:00 AM at Cedar Run Baptist Church.  Memorial service at 11:00 with Pastors Gary Messinger and Joe Martin officiating.  Interment will be in Slate Run Cemetery,
