Robert L. Baker, 80, of Wellsboro, passed away on June 12, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife Noreen (Root) Baker, whom he married on August 1, 1959.

Robert was born October 18, 1936, in Crooked Creek, Tioga County, PA, the son of the late Earl and Bessie Baker.

Robert was an USAF Veteran having served his country for 4 years.  He worked 28 years at the Middlebury Milk Plant.  Robert enjoyed working 30 years as a boom truck operator for Joker’s Coal and Morris Block, delivering blocks to many job sites and meeting so many wonderful people. He was a hard worker.

He loved being with his family, enjoyed going to camp and making friends wherever he went.

Robert was a member of the Holliday Alliance Church where he served as a trustee.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Noreen, are his daughters and sons-in-law, Lori (Dale) Webb of Corning, NY and Kelli (Jim) Stager of Wellsboro, PA; 4 grandchildren, Jesse and Lindsey Webb, Garrett and Staci Stager; his sister, Peg (Bill) Lotter of Tioga, PA; in addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Earl Baker, Jr., James Baker and Thomas Baker; 2 sisters, Beatrice Fleitstra and Beverly Schmidt.

Services will be private with Rev. Erik J.  Ferguson officiating. Burial in West Branch Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Holliday CMA Church, 33 Oakwood Drive, Middlebury Center, PA 16935.
