Rebecca A. Loucks

Rebecca A. Loucks, 82, of Wellsboro passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026, at the Laurels, Wellsboro. She was born on March 23, 1943, in Wichita, KS, the daughter of the late Martin and Opal (Blosser) Loucks.

Rebecca earned a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University and worked as a social worker for the state of Kansas. Rebecca also enjoyed Tai Chi and playing the dulcimer, a string instrument played lying flat.

Rebecca was a beloved member of the extended Zaidi and Loucks families. She is survived by sons: Mohammad Rehan (Jennifer Miller) Zaidi of Jersey City, NJ; Sha (Kristen) Zaidi of Westfield; a brother, Bill Loucks of Manhattan, KS; grandchildren: Charla, Eli, and Lucy Zaidi; and her former spouse, Intesar H. Zaidi. In addition to her parents, Rebecca was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Petty, and a brother, Jim Loucks.
