Raymond Donald Statts

Raymond Donald Statts, 88, of Wellsboro, passed away Sunday October 18, 2026, at his home surrounded by family. He was born November 2, 1937, in Johnson City, NY to Laverne and Helen (Vosburg) Statts. He married Louise Marie Haynes and they shared 65 years of marriage. Raymond was a welder all his life, and had most recently worked for ABC Gaines. He enjoyed hunting and cutting firewood for family and friends.

Raymond is survived by two sons: Raymond D. Statts, JR. (Cindy) of Wellsboro, and Douglas A. Statts (Kira Hawk) of Wellsboro; three daughters: Christine Maldona (Anthony) of Wellsboro, Rebecca Dilly (Roy) of Lawrenceville, and Beverly Moss (Steven) of Wellsboro; nineteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters: Harriet Bennett of Wellsboro and Doris Burgett of Wellsboro; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and two brothers: Lewis and Vernice Statts.

Friends and family are invited to pay tribute to Raymond's life from 10am to 11am Thursday October 22, 2026 at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home 139 Main Street Wellsboro, PA, with a funeral to follow in the funeral home at 11am.
