Nicholas Scott Ogden, age six of Covington, brown eyed boy with the infectious smile and heart of pure gold, passed away unexpectedly at home, Sunday, February 21, 2016, in his daddy’s arms. Born February 27, 2009, in Danville, PA, Nicholas was the son of Scott and Jacqueline L. Ogden and big brother to Casey Samuel, all of Covington. Nicholas was a first grade student at the Warren L. Miller Elementary School in Mansfield. In Nicholas’s short life, he taught each person that he met the importance of enjoying every blessing life has to offer. Nicholas brought an immeasurable amount of joy to his parents each and every day.  Nicholas loved music, spending many hours listening to Kidz Bop and YouTube. He especially enjoyed playing, “Name that Tune” with his daddy! Some of his favorite artists included: Ronnie Milsap, who he was able to see perform live, Toby Keith, Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, Brantley Gilbert, Eric Church and Meghan Trainor just to name a few. His favorite pastimes included: spending time with his parents and brother, “nuzzling“ with his mommy, going to the mall, swinging, bouncing on the trampoline, riding in his “Bergy Trucks”, playing an array of musical instruments, enjoying his Ipad, riding his overabundance of electrical Fisher Price vehicles, boating, snowmobiling and spending time with his Uncle Phil, neighbors - Mr. Fred and Bryan. Nicholas is survived by his parents and brother, paternal grandmother, Jean Ogden of Blossburg, uncles - Douglas and Phillip, godparents, Ali and Heather Soufan of Tenafly, NJ, many cousins, numerous friends, special friend and caregiver, Melody Kutz, heart surgeon and friend, Dr. Kamal Pourmoghadam, special doctors and family friends, Robert Mangano and John Peters, numerous nurses at Janet Weis Children’s Hospital as well as special “girlfriend”, Shaelynn Berguson. Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, Samuel and Frederica Kroll, paternal grandfather, LeRoy Ogden and paternal aunt, Bonnie Hutcheson.

Family and friends are invited to Nicholas’s Life Celebration on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., 139 Main St. Wellsboro, PA. Funeral service will be Thursday, February 25, at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Pastor Dean Edwards officiating. Nicholas will be honorably laid to rest in the Wellsboro Cemetery next to his grandparents.

In keeping with Nicholas’s absolute love for music and school, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Warren L.
