Nancy M. Saunders

Nancy M. Saunders, 76, of Mansfield, a cherished wife, mother, and grandmother (Meemaw) entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. She was born on December 29, 1949, in Wellsboro, the daughter of late Leigh and Patricia (Hughes) Sweely. She was preceded in death by her precious infant son Mark and brother, Curt Sweely.

She was the wife of the late Steve Saunders who preceded her in death on February 17, 2026. Nancy is survived by two children: Kristie L. Saunders of Mansfield, and Donavon (Catherine) Saunders of Trout Run; beloved grandchildren: Colt and Olivia Saunders; and a niece.

She and her husband were the owners of Saunders Insurance, Mansfield, and Steve’s Beverage, Wellsboro. Nancy and her family had a lifelong passion for Palomino Quarter Horses and Pembroke Welsh Corgi’s.

As a woman of many skills, Nancy found joy on the farm and with Corgi’s. She touched the lives of many with her huge heart, generosity, and kindness. She was a wonderful friend and could connect to anyone.

In keeping with Nancy’s wishes a private service will be held at a later date, with burial in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, Wellsboro.
