Myra L. (Bates) Taylor

Myra L. Taylor, 94, of Wellsboro passed away Friday December 27, 2019 at Broad Acres Nursing Home. Born June 24, 1925 to William and Adeline (Baker) Bates in Stevensville, PA, Myra married the late Joseph C. Taylor, Jr. She worked as the Postmaster in Warren Center, PA, and attended the Draper Baptist church. Myra is survived by three sons: Lawrence (Dee) Taylor of Jacksonville, FL, Dennis (Hilda) Taylor of Owego, NY, and Mark (Nancy) Taylor of Myrtle Beach, SC; a daughter: Trudi (John) Dirks of Little River, SC; 9 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Myra’s family has entrusted the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main Street Wellsboro, PA with her arrangements, and will hold a memorial service at their convenience.
