Mercedes M. (Moore) Goodreau

Mercedes E. (Moore) Goodreau, 97, of Wellsboro, passed away Friday November 6, 2020 at Broad Acres Health and Rehabilitation. Born July 14, 1923 in Wellsboro, to Charles J. and Leona B. (Burton) Moore, Mercedes graduated from Rock L. Butler High School, and married Allen D. Goodreau. She and Allen owned and operated Goodreau’s Grocery. She was a faithful member of the 1st Baptist Church of Wellsboro, BPW, and Mary Wells Chapter 452 OES. Mercedes is survived by a daughter: Marilyn Truhlar of Wellsboro; a son: Gary (Sharon) Goodreau of Wellsboro; a granddaughter: Lisa (Peter) Yanief; a grandson-in-law: Gene (Diane) Huntington; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; nephew Max “Butch” Moore (Linda) and 3 additional nephews. In accordance with her wishes, services will be private, and she will be buried beside her husband at West Branch Cemetery.
