Melinda M. Saunders

Melinda M. Saunders, 65, of Wellsboro, passed away Wednesday July 24, 2024, at her home surrounded by family.  She was born August 13, 1958, in Wellsboro, to the late Kenneth “Bucky” Buck and Diana (Wilkinson) Buck of Wellsboro, she married Scott Saunders on October 28, 1995.

Melinda was a graduate of Wellsboro High School, Class of 1976, she received her LPN from W.A.C.C, and her RN from Corning C.C. in May of 1991.  She was a life member of the V.F.W. in Sebastian, FL, a member of the Wellsboro Moose #1147, and the Arnot Sportsmen’s Club.  She also enjoyed camping on “The Hill”.

In addition to her husband and mother, Melinda is survived by two daughters:  Katrina (Jason) Williams of Middlebury, Sherry Saunders of Albion, PA; a brother, Michael (Laurie) Buck of Wellsboro; sister-in-laws, Sandra (Gerald) Everhart of Elizabethtown; Joan (Doug) Abplanalp of Nauvoo; Lucia “Re” Buck of Wellsboro; a father-in-law, Ray “Fritz” Abplanalp of Wellsboro; 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 6 nieces and nephews.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by brothers, Thomas Buck, Gregory Day, sister, Melinda Buck, and mother-in-law, Bernice Abplanalp.

Friends and family are invited to pay tribute to Melinda’s life from 10:00 to 11:00am Tuesday July 30, 2024, with a funeral service to follow at 11am, at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home 139 Main Street Wellsboro.  Burial will be in Niles Valley Cemetery.   To share a memory or condolence with her family visit www.tusseymosher.com.
