Martin J. Beck

Martin J. Beck, 88, of Wellsboro, passed away Tuesday December 22, 2020 at Broad Acres Nursing Home in Wellsboro. He was born July 21, 1932 in Pittsburgh to Martin J. and Hilda (Hellman) Beck. Martin served as Wellsboro Borough Manager from 1978 to 1996, and he also served the Charleston Township Maintenance Authority. He is survived by his wife Rita Beck; a son: Michael Beck; a daughter: Susan Beck; two grandchildren: Dylan and Danielle Beck; a brother: Bernard Beck; three sisters: Mary Lou Gruda, Dorothy Campbell and Ruth Ann Nicholas; and his close friend and former wife Gayl Beck. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son: Martin Beck, and a brother: Raymond Beck. His arrangements have been entrusted to the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home 139 Main Street Wellsboro, PA 16901.
