Marion W. Goodwin

Marion W. Goodwin, 96, of Wellsboro, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Broad Acres. He was the husband of Edith C. Goodwin, who preceded him in death.
He was a graduate of Charleston High School with the Class of 1938. Marion was a lifelong resident of Wellsboro. During his lifetime he worked for Corning Glass in Wellsboro for over 41 years as an inspector/mechanic.
Marion was a member of Coolidge Hollow, UMC. He served in the US Army during WWII; he was involved in the European Theatre.
Surviving is his daughter, Connie L. (Lloyd) Simmons, Wellsboro; brother, Stuart (Edna) Goodwin, Wellsboro and his sister Lois Lewis, of North Carolina; granddaughter, Jessica Simmons and great-grandson, Trent Simmons; Marion was preceded in death by his parents, wife, his sister Vada Shaylor and his brother, Jim Goodwin.
Marion’s Life Celebration will be Wednesday, May 25, 2016, visitation from 10:30 to 11:00 AM at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd., 139 Main St., Wellsboro, PA, and funeral service to follow, with Pastor Donna Vaux officiating. Interment will be in the Wellsboro Cemetery.
