Marilyn Mccracken

March 11, 1940 — January 12, 2025

Marilyn (Johnston) McCracken, 84, of Vandalia, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 12th, 2025, at Kettering Hospital after a short illness.  She was born on March 11th, 1940, in Swarthmore, PA, daughter of the late Hugh Kirkpatrick and Ivy Gwen (Conner) Johnston. Marilyn and former spouse, Richard J. McCracken shared six children. Marilyn especially loved music and was an active pianist, vocalist and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, for many years.

Marilyn is survived by her children: Jon McCracken of Highland, MD; Tammy (Stephen) Allis of Magnolia, DE; David (Amy) McCracken of Sandy Hook, VA; Paul (Maureen) McCracken of Lebanon OH; Jennifer McCracken of Vandalia OH and Robert (Amy) McCracken of Leland, NC; 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Gail Johnston and Sheila (Johnston) Toman and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her brother-in-law John Heath Sr., brother Hugh (Chip) Johnston Jr. and grandson Joshua McCracken.

Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at the funeral service, Monday, February 3rd, 2025, at 2pm at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main St. Wellsboro, PA 16901. Interment will immediately follow at the Tioga County Memorial Gardens.
