Margaret (Campman) Mitchell

Margaret “Peggy” (Campman) Mitchell, 77, passed away Thursday December 3, 2020 at UPMC Susquehanna in Williamsport. She was born March 26, 1943 in Wellsboro to David J. and Eleanor (Gaylor) Campman. On July 15, 1961 Peggy married Lawrence J. Mitchell, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage. She was a former member of the First United Methodist Church of Wellsboro, and a current member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Wellsboro. She was a member of Mary Wells Order of Eastern Star Chapter 452 Wellsboro where she was a 50+ year member and a Past Worthy Matron.Margaret is survived by her husband, three sons: David Ethan Mitchell of Wattsburg, PA, Garth William (Nadine) Mitchell of Marion, NY, and Matthew Lawrence Mitchell of Wattsburg, PA; 4 grandchildren: Daniel T., Drew E., Samuel A. and Joseph D. Mitchell; and a sister: Jenneth B. Campman Lane of Williamsville, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother: Phillip J. Campman, and a brother-in-law: Honorable John P.
