Linda K. Alexander

Linda K. Alexander, 81, of Wellsboro, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at UPMC – Williamsport. Linda was born March 4, 1945, in Wellsboro. She was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Arlene (Root) Beauter. Linda married James H. Alexander on September 1, 1963, and have celebrated 62 years of marriage together.

Linda graduated from Wellsboro High School, Class of 1963. She worked many years as a switchboard operator for the phone company in Wellsboro. She also worked for the Wellsboro Gazette and at the front desk of the Sherwood Motel, Wellsboro. Linda also enjoyed Bingo, caring for people and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her husband, James, Linda is survived by a son, David J. (Cindy McKay) Alexander of Revloc; brothers: Walter (Kathy) Beauter of Cedaredge Lane, Colorado and James Beauter of Pompano Beach, Florida; a sister, Judy (Joe) Schuster of York; Grandchildren: Megan (Christopher) Copp and Sara (Cam) Kerr both of Wellsboro; Riley Alexander of Revloc; great grandchildren: Dylan Copp, Jacob Copp, and Olivia Raymond, and her caregiver/ special friend, Alverta White, who went above and beyond caring for Linda.

As per Linda and her family’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
