Leone S. (Scheeley) Kaltenbach
March 29, 1910 — February 24, 2017
Leone S. Kaltenbach, 106, a lifetime resident of Wellsboro, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Broad Acres. She was the widow of Ralph W. Kaltenbach. Leone was born March 29, 1910, in Charleston Township; she was the daughter of the late Fred and Anna (Sampson) Scheeley.
Leone was a member of First Baptist Church, Wellsboro. She was a 50 year former member of Mary Packer Rebekah Lodge and the Charleston Union Grange.
Surviving is her son, Lee Kaltenbach, of Wellsboro; daughter, Luan (James) Aaron, Pinehurst, NC; grandson, Timothy (Chasity) Kaltenbach; 3 great-grandchildren, Timothy, Kaycee and Garrett; several nieces, nephews and cousins; her caregiver, Barbara Brought.
In addition to her parents and husband, Leone was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Kathryn Apgar, Verna Lewis and Anna Schwab.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, 11:00 AM with Rev. Eugene A. Charsky officiating, at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main St., Wellsboro, PA., visitation from 10-11 AM prior to the service.
Memorials may be made in Leone’s name to Broad Acres Nursing Home, Activity Fund, 1883 Shumway Hill Road, Wellsboro, PA 16901.
