Karen S. Brenner, 77, of Wellsboro, passed away Monday, September 7, 2026, at UPMC – Williamsport. Karen was born January 16, 1949, in Canastota, NY. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Phyllis (Wood) Speis.

Karen graduated from Canastota High School. She worked many years at Soldiers and Sailors Hospital, in the laundry. She loved her dogs and enjoyed reading and the outdoors.

Karen is survived by her companion of many years, Robert “Bob” DeLong of Wellsboro; a daughter, Dawn (John) Bieser of Middlebury Center; a son, Robert (Jen) Brenner of Point Pleasant, NJ; brothers: Michael (Teresa) Speis of Oregon; and Christopher Speis of New Hampshire; grandchildren: Caleb Bieser, Ali Bieser, and Olivia Brenner, and a nephew Strider Speis. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by two brothers: Bobby Speis and Ray Speis, Jr.

As per Karen and her family’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Animal Care Sanctuary, 353 Sanctuary Hill Ln, Milan, PA 18831 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
